Director of Operations

Krystle joined The Pathfinder Network in March 2023. As Director of Operations, she plays an integral role in ensuring TPN programs are fully supported in delivering high-quality services and support to adults, children, and families who are justice system-impacted. Her collaborative focus is to develop and execute systems and policies through a diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice lens that promotes efficient processes while overseeing the daily operations of the agency. As a people- and resource-connector, Krystle prioritizes safety, equity, and access for all.

Prior to joining TPN, Krystle has held operations leadership positions within financial and non-profit organizations. In addition to her work for TPN, Krystle is the Fundraising Board Chair for The Portland Grief House and a participant in the Independent Publishing Resource Center’s Poetry Portfolio Program. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Merced and a Master’s degree in Writing from Otis College of Art & Design.

When asked what brings her to this work, Krystle shared, “As a daughter of a previously incarcerated parent and navigating the murder of my brother BJ by the Inglewood Police Department in 2019, I have a personal understanding for the need for resources and support. Like the communities TPN serves, I too am on the path to change, in hopes that love, safety, equity, and access be given to us all because they are our birthright.”

Outside of spending time at TPN, Krystle can be found exploring cafes, writing poems, designing books, and creating art (sometimes at the same time!). She loves and lives with her partner Kevin and their growing garden of plant-babies. Her poetry and artwork can be seen here: krystlemaystatler.com.
