We recognize and confront the profound influence of historical, cultural, structural, and institutional biases, racism, and oppression within our systems and society. We celebrate the richness of intersectional identities encompassing race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, socioeconomic status, geography, age, and beyond, both within our community and within ourselves.
DEIJB Resources
We have designed and implemented an intentional set of resources and tools to drive our work towards our commitments.
About Our Equity Team
The purpose and mission of the equity team is to lead by example and create institutional change that reflects our deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. Walking alongside the staff at The Pathfinder Network, we will provide leadership, learning opportunities, direction, and action to bring our commitment to life. We lead by engaging and drawing on the strengths of our participants, staff, and community by centering people who are most impacted, and honoring their stories and truths through purposeful action. Our efforts are possible through embracing discomfort, continuous learning and growth, bearing witness, and nurturing ourselves and each other. Courageously, we build together towards our future and our future leaders.
The Equity Team provides agency-wide trainings on the following topics:
- DEIJB 101
- Implicit Bias
- DEIJB Lens
- Addressing Microaggressions, and more
Our equity team is made up of staff from across the agency, representing all parts of our work. It is led by two co-chairs who are compensated for their leadership, supporting the team and our collective work.
