Peer Support for Justice System-Involved Individuals

The Resilience & Recovery Project is a peer support program for justice system-involved individuals in Multnomah, Marion, and Jackson Counties. We work with participants to build individual, social, and community resources for long term resilience and recovery, successful completion of supervision, and reintegration into the community.

At the Resilience & Recovery Project, Peer Support Specialists with lived experience engage participants in a goal-oriented collaborative relationship and provide personalized support through holistic and responsive individual and group support services. We work together to reinforce success and build self-efficacy, hope, and resilience.

Transitions within and out of the justice system present significant barriers and challenges with accessing the support needed to be successful. We provide opportunities for participants to build individual, social, and community resources that support their transition and beyond.

Testimonials

“I felt so alone in my journey through the justice system and my early recovery. I do this work so that I can help others feel less alone and to help them discover what brings them life and inspires them to keep going.”
